So, should Ralph run in 2008? The unbiased, unemotional answer lies in answering, first, another more fundamental question: is it in the Party’s best interest? The Party’s best interest is supreme and therefore trumps all other individual or factional interests. The answer to the second question is admittedly tricky, but once answered it becomes the definitive answer to the first question.
